Angkor Sunrise

A visit to Angkor Wat at sunrise is something indescribable. Making your way through the temple in the darkness and silence was interesting to say the least. Once we found our spots, the silence continued with the only sounds being the release of shutters and an orchestra of insects and birds. Gradually the main temple became a silhouette, then the details became clearer, the lilies on the pond became visible, and then quite suddenly, it was daylight. And then almost as suddenly, people started talking and walking around and sunrise spell was lifted.
