Japanese Bridge, Hoi An

Hoi An in central Vietnam is an amazingly preserved and restored example of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to 19th century. The Japanese Bridge is a stunning tribute to the extensive Japanese community that lived and traded in Hoi An in the 17th century. This covered bridge is unique in many ways but most particularly for its Buddhist pagoda attached to one side.
