Wild & Wonderful Jianku

An hour’s hike at dawn brings you to the Great Wall’s Zhengbeilou Tower. All signs of exhaustion disappear though when faced with the astounding beauty of where you find yourself at the end of the climb. The rampant beauty of the Great Wall at Jiankou really makes you realise the accomplishment of the Wall.  As far as the eye can see, the white wall snakes along ridges and peaks and begs the question of “how on earth did they build it?”
